New Lower Prices on Fluconazole (Brand Name Diflucan)

Island Pharmacy Services now has fluconazole powder in stock.  This has lowered the price of compounded doses, which formerly were based on the more expensive Diflucan tablets.  The net result is a savings of an average of 50%!

The primary indicated use for fluconazole is in the treatment of candidal urinary tract infections, peritonitis, and systemic candidal infections.  Veterinary uses include the treatment of fungal infections of the eyes and skin, including ringworm.  Diflucan is a fairly expensive drug, and the lower cost of compounded doses should make treatment more affordable.
